Our beachside home is often portrayed as carefree laid‑back. But behind the sun and surf, many women are quietly dealing with major transitions: relationship breakdown, surviving domestic and family violence, navigating new parenting roles, financial instability or employment uncertainty. WRC acknowledges this. Their approach: “free, trauma‑informed programs accessible nationwide address the core needs women require to recover and rebuild their lives after domestic abuse and trauma.”

What makes WRC’s programs stand out
- Trauma‑informed: Every program is built with awareness of trauma, abuse and recovery in mind, meaning the facilitation style, language and group structure are adapted to be safe and respectful.
- Accessible: Delivered online to remove barriers relating to commutes, cost, childcare and mobility. Some in‑person options also exist.
- Holistic: Covers emotional, relational, financial and employment recovery. Not just “get a job”, but “recover your sense of self and capacity to thrive”.
- Peer‑connected: Groups provide opportunities to connect with women who understand your journey. This sense of being seen and understood can be powerful.
- Free: No direct cost to participants - an important factor when you’re rebuilding after trauma or separation.
- Effective & practical: Uses evidence‑based techniques, so it's not just talk.
