Living longer is one thing; staying strong enough to keep doing the things you love is another. Maintaining bone density, muscle strength and balance can play an important role in how confidently and independently we move through later life.

Don't miss out on the OsteoStrong Balgowlah Open Day on Saturday 24 October from 2pm.
Discover how OsteoStrong can support bone strength, muscle strength, balance, movement and healthy ageing, with a complimentary OsteoStrong experience and the opportunity to learn more about the science behind its once-weekly sessions.
You can also explore OsteoStrong’s recovery and regeneration services, including Red Light Therapy, PEMF Therapy, HydroMassage and Normatec Compression Therapy.
Bone loss is silent. In 2023, 6.2 million Australians over 50 had osteoporosis or osteopenia, and more than 193,000 fractures occurred.
Most people don’t realise bone is living, metabolically active tissue. Old bone is continually broken down and replaced — a process called remodelling.
As we age, bone is lost faster than it’s rebuilt.

One signal that influences bone remodelling is mechanical loading. Bone responds to the forces placed upon it, a principle often referred to as Wolff’s Law.
At OsteoStrong Balgowlah, the patented Spectrum® system allows members to experience brief, controlled osteogenic loading in an individually supervised session of around 15 minutes once a week.
Members work on building bone density, improving muscular strength, balance and posture, and reducing joint pain — without traditional weights or high-impact exercise.

Your first visit begins with a conversation about your health, wellness and goals, followed by baseline tests measuring functional strength, grip strength, balance and sit-to-stand performance. These become your personal benchmarks, with progress reviewed every three months using real data.
Each weekly session is guided one-on-one by a certified coach. You’ll start with mobility and functional movement before moving through the Spectrum® osteogenic loading circuit, working the upper body, lower body, core and spine. The session finishes with balance and neural integration work.
The whole process takes around 15 minutes.
And there’s no traditional gym routine, no weights and no need to work up a sweat.
Our member stories of increased bone density are supported by repeat scans, with improvements confirmed by their doctors, making the results both measurable and meaningful.
One Balgowlah member, Vicky, saw a 5.7% increase in spine bone density and a 4.1% increase in her right hip between scans. Her results were tracked through repeat testing, with her GP pleased to see the improvement.
For many, it’s unlike anything they’ve tried, especially those who don’t see themselves as “gym people”.
The Balgowlah experience extends beyond the loading session. Members can also access a range of recovery and wellness technologies, including HydroMassage, compression, PEMF and red-light therapy.
It’s all part of an approach designed to support strength, balance, recovery and overall wellbeing — in just one weekly visit.
And it’s a genuinely local experience, with one-on-one coaching at OsteoStrong Balgowlah, right on Sydney Road.
It’s a different way of thinking about healthy ageing: giving your body the stimulus to stay strong.
Not about becoming a gym person. Not about spending hours exercising. Just a short, supervised weekly session designed around bone health, strength, balance and feeling good in your body.
Discover the Ostestrong technology Saturday 24th October at OsteoStrong Balgowlah from 2pm.
