These Terms and Conditions apply to competitions conducted by Beaches COVERED on behalf of participating advertisers, businesses and brands.

The promoter is Beaches COVERED, unless otherwise stated in the specific competition details.

The prize may be supplied by the participating advertiser featured in the competition.

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over, unless otherwise stated in the specific competition details.

Employees of Beaches COVERED, the participating advertiser, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

The opening and closing dates and times for each competition will be stated in the relevant competition promotion.

Entries received after the closing date will not be eligible.

To enter, participants must complete the entry requirements specified in the relevant competition promotion or entry form.

Unless otherwise stated, one entry per person is permitted.

Entries must be complete and submitted before the competition closing date.

Beaches COVERED reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, illegible, submitted more than once where multiple entries are not permitted, or otherwise fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

All Beaches COVERED competitions are games of skill.

Entrants may be required to answer a question, provide a written response, submit a creative entry or otherwise demonstrate skill, originality and/or creativity, as specified in the individual competition.

Entries will be judged against the criteria stated in the competition promotion.

Chance will not play any part in determining the winner.

The winning entry will be the entry that, in the opinion of the judges, best meets the published judging criteria.

Entries will be judged by Beaches COVERED and/or representatives appointed by Beaches COVERED.

Judging will take place after the competition closes, unless otherwise stated.

The judges may consider factors including originality, creativity, relevance to the competition question and the quality of the response.

The judges' decision will be final, subject to any rights available to entrants under applicable law.

The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided at the time of entry.

The winner may also be announced through Beaches COVERED's website, social media channels or other promotional channels.

If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the first attempted notification, Beaches COVERED reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.

The prize will be the product, voucher, experience or prize package specified in the individual competition promotion.

The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash, unless otherwise stated.

Where a prize is supplied by a participating advertiser, the advertiser may be responsible for fulfilment of the prize.

Any additional terms imposed by the prize supplier may apply to the use or redemption of the prize.

Prize collection or delivery arrangements will be communicated to the winner.

Unless otherwise stated, the winner is responsible for any costs associated with collecting or using the prize, including travel, accommodation or other incidental costs.

Where a prize has an expiry date or limited redemption period, the winner is responsible for redeeming the prize within the applicable timeframe.

By entering, participants confirm that their entry is their own original work and does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party.

Beaches COVERED reserves the right to reject or remove any entry that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, inappropriate or otherwise unsuitable for publication.

By entering, participants grant Beaches COVERED permission to reproduce, publish and use their entry for the purposes of promoting the competition, Beaches COVERED and/or the participating advertiser, including on websites, social media and other marketing channels.

The entrant's name may be used in connection with the announcement of the winner.

Where reasonably possible, Beaches COVERED will credit the entrant when publishing their winning entry.

Personal information collected through the competition will be used to administer the competition, contact the winner and arrange fulfilment of the prize.

Personal information may also be handled in accordance with the privacy policies of Beaches COVERED and the participating advertiser, where applicable.

Any marketing communications will be subject to applicable privacy and consent requirements.

Beaches COVERED reserves the right to cancel, suspend, extend or modify a competition where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, subject to applicable laws.

Any material changes to a competition will be communicated where required.

To the extent permitted by law, Beaches COVERED and the participating advertiser are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay or other expense arising from participation in the competition or acceptance or use of the prize, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a competition is promoted through Facebook, Instagram or another social media platform, the competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with that platform unless expressly stated otherwise.

Participants release the relevant social media platform from any responsibility in connection with the competition.

By entering a Beaches COVERED competition, participants confirm that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions and any additional terms specified in the individual competition promotion.

Where there is any inconsistency between these General Terms and Conditions and the specific terms published for an individual competition, the specific competition terms will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.

Beaches COVERED reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant and to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
