The Axopar Effect: Gathering for Good Times

Over the past decade, something special has been happening on Australian waters. A new kind of boating culture has emerged, one built on freedom, fun, and friendship. It’s been led by Axopar, the Scandinavian brand that’s changed the way we see and experience life on the water. And with hundreds of Axopars now cruising our coastlines, that wave is only getting bigger.

Every year, Axopar owners from across Australia come together for the Axoparty, a day on the water that’s fast becoming a highlight of the boating calendar. This year, Eyachts hosted two standout events: in March, 12 Axopars explored Rottnest Island, and in October, more than 20 boats convoyed from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River, finishing with a long lunch at Peats Bite.

It’s not just the route that makes it special, it’s the camaraderie, sense of adventure, and love of boating that bring people back year after year.

“When we introduced Axopar to Australia ten years ago, we knew it would shake things up,” says Peter, founder of Eyachts, the Australian distributor behind the brand. “But what’s been amazing is the community that’s grown around it. These owners don’t just use their boats, they live the lifestyle. They’ve made boating more social, more inclusive, and more fun.”

Australia’s coastline is vast and sometimes unpredictable. To make the most of it, you need a boat that’s stable offshore, easy to handle, and comfortable for longer trips. Axopar delivers all three, thanks to its twin-step deep-V hull.

“Axopar is a dream boat,” says Raina, a proud Axopar owner. “They’re easy to handle, even if you don’t have much experience. Stable, fast, and fun. It’s hard not to love it.”

From 22s to the flagship 45, every Axopar model is designed for adventure.

“It’s incredible seeing 20 boats cruising together at 40 knots on the Hawkesbury,” adds Eyachts’ Joe Fox. “Everyone has an amazing time.”

Beyond specs and speed, Axopar thrives on community. At events like the Axoparty, owners swap tips, hop on each other’s boats, and make lasting friendships.

“The community is honestly the best part. It feels like joining a family,” says Jasmyn, an Axopar 37 owner. Graeme, who owns an Axopar 29, agrees: “Seeing 20 boats travel together like that? It’s something really special.”

Eyachts has built that sense of belonging since day one.

“We hoped people would want to boat this way: fast, capable, social, and adventurous,” says Peter. “Seeing this community grow has been the real success.”

With more events planned and new Axopars arriving, that spirit of freedom, adventure, and friendship is only getting stronger.
