Big things are happening at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, and excitement is building by the day.
The final slab has been poured, the framework is up, and the vision for the club’s next chapter is quickly taking shape. What was once a set of plans is now a physical reality, with every stage bringing the team closer to unveiling an elevated club experience designed around lifestyle, connection, and waterfront enjoyment. Insider tip: now’s the time to jump on board.

Membership prices are expected to rise once the new building opens, so joining early is a smart move if you’re keen to secure your spot and reap the full benefits of what’s to come.
With construction in full swing and clear skies helping to drive progress, the transformation has gained serious momentum, setting the stage for what’s ahead.
Once complete, the newly developed spaces will include upgraded member amenities, a vibrant casual dining area and bar, a private 20-seat dining room, and an elevated dining room overlooking the pool.

The elevated dining room also features an alfresco deck which will create the ideal spot for sun-soaked afternoons by the water with a cocktail in hand, sails on the horizon, and that classic relaxed coastal atmosphere the club is known for.
Downstairs is a dedicated kids’ zone next to a relaxed seating area overlooking the resort-style pool and conveniently located beside the café and providore store, making it perfect for families who want to unwind while the little ones let off some steam.
In a move that reflects the changing needs of its members, the former Brasserie is being transformed into a sleek wellness centre, offering a calm, modern space to work out, join group classes, visit local holistic practitioners or beauticians, and recharge.
The reception foyer and function rooms are also being thoughtfully refreshed with new lighting, flooring, and carefully considered finishes to create a cohesive, contemporary feel throughout. A new lift and stairwell will connect everything from the top reception to the Lounge Bar and below, making movement throughout the club seamlessly easy.
The other major addition to this redevelopment is the club’s 20-metre, glass-surround rooftop deck on the top floor, offering panoramic views over Pittwater, ideal for birthdays, celebrations and weddings.
With so much happening behind the scenes, RMYC extends a heartfelt thank you to members for their continued patience during construction, especially across busy weekends and major events. The finish line is in sight, and the results are already looking impressive.
While the building works continue, the Compass Terrace has truly emerged as the vibrant summer heartbeat of the club. Think live music every Friday and Sunday, all-day dining, perfectly ice-cold drinks, and waterfront views that simply never get old. It’s RMYC at its best: laid-back, social, and right by the water.
