South Curl Curl Boardwalk Reopens

A safer, more accessible coastal link for the community

The long-awaited reopening of the South Curl Curl Boardwalk has officially arrived — and it’s great news for locals, walkers and beach lovers alike.

Proudly funded by the former NSW Coalition Government and delivered by Northern Beaches Council, the upgraded boardwalk now links South Curl Curl Beach with the iconic Fisherman’s Walk, creating a safer and more seamless connection along our stunning coastline.

Previously, pedestrians had to navigate the busy South Curl Curl headland carpark to reach the walkway. The new design now allows walkers to bypass the traffic entirely, with a ramp added for pram and wheelchair accessibility, a big win for inclusivity.

Member for Manly James Griffin MP said the project is proof of what strong community advocacy and smart investment can achieve.

“This is a great outcome for our community and one that will make a real difference to the way locals and visitors experience the Curl Curl and Freshwater areas,” Mr Griffin said. “I’m proud to have supported this project and been part of a government that invested in infrastructure to improve quality of life for residents.”

While final carpark works are still underway, the boardwalk is officially open and ready to be enjoyed. So lace up your walking shoes, there’s a new stretch of coastline waiting to be explored.

Head down to South Curl Curl this weekend and experience the new boardwalk connection for yourself.
