The new Clubhouse, unveiled as part of the Club's Centenary celebrations, has changed the rhythm of a day here. What was once a morning stop has become a full day. What started as a quick coffee now runs well into the afternoon.

It might begin at Providore, coffee in hand, watching Pittwater wake up while the kids explore the waterfront. For others, the day starts earlier, in the Wellness Studio, where Pilates and yoga classes run before the sun climbs too high. The idea that a boat club could also be a wellness destination would have seemed like a stretch once. Here, it makes complete sense.

As the morning opens up, the resort-style pool draws families in. Children find the play areas. Members drift easily between spaces, unhurried, with no particular agenda. That easy pace is not accidental. It is built into the place.

By midday, Cove comes alive with relaxed waterfront dining: lunch groups, friends catching up and boat crews refuelling after a morning on the water. The food is the kind you want to linger over. The afternoon shifts again. Out on the Compass Terrace, the views stretch across Pittwater in a way that makes you put your phone down. Quietly spectacular.

Evenings arrive at their own pace. There are pizza nights that run later than anyone planned, private dinners in rooms that feel made for the occasion, and smaller gatherings beside the water for those who want good food and good company. The Club makes room for all of it without trying to be everything at once.

Boating, of course, remains at the heart of who RMYC Broken Bay is. Spring brings the return of cruising season, boating events and on-water days of the kind that have defined this Club for a century. The Centenary Opening Day and Boat Parade will mark the season in style, a celebration of where the Club has come from and a confident look at what comes next.

What has emerged is something layered. Boating alongside wellness. Dining alongside family time. The social alongside the quiet. It is a membership that means something different to each person who holds it, and something different again on each visit.

For generations, RMYC Broken Bay has been where lifelong friendships begin. Today, it is also where families spend meaningful time together, where a morning on the water gives way to an afternoon by the pool, and where the day always seems to find another reason to stretch on a little longer.
