Australia’s longest running jazz festival returns to Manly this September, bringing 3 days of free live music, roving performers, swing dancers and family-friendly entertainment to the heart of the Northern Beaches.

Now in its 49th year, Manly Jazz will take over Manly from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026, with more than 95 acts across 4 stages and official venues.

Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said Manly Jazz is one of the Beaches’ most loved events and a wonderful way to experience Manly’s vibrant coastal atmosphere.

“Manly Jazz is a much-loved celebration of music, community and our incredible local lifestyle.

“For almost 5 decades, this festival has brought people together to enjoy world-class music in one of Sydney’s most beautiful seaside locations.

“Whether you are a jazz enthusiast, a family looking for a great day out, or simply keen to soak up the atmosphere, Manly Jazz offers something for everyone,” Mayor Heins said.

The 2026 program will feature a diverse mix of jazz with highlights including Monica Trapaga, Hot Potato Band and Back to Back The Band, alongside dozens of established and emerging performers.

Over a dozen Manly venues will come alive with performances including Hilary Geddes Quartet and Murmurations at the Manly Art Gallery & Museum, End Notes Collective at Cibaria Manly, Leah Berry at The Cumberland and an Open Mic Night at Manly Library.

Festivalgoers can also enjoy the return of Bucketty’s Jazz Garden on The Corso, offering live music, food, drinks and a relaxed place to take in the festival atmosphere.

Manly Jazz is presented by Northern Beaches Council with support from Bucketty’s Brewing Co. and Roland Australia.
