If blues, groove and backing local musicians is your cup of tea, you'll love the Avalon Groove Festival. For the first time, Avalon Cinema Centre hosts a two-day, volunteer-run music festival over the October long weekend.

Born from a collective passion to revitalise Avalon and uplift local small businesses during testing times, it's crafted by a dedicated team of volunteer artists.

"We have an awesome large space, we have the musicians ready to go, and we want to bring a bit of soul back to the place," says Andy from the organising team.

Over Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October, expect 16 acts, 20 hours of live music and more than 50 musicians, all in the historic Avalon Cinema and Entertainment Centre auditorium. Come and go as you please. Only 200 tickets are available, and every dollar goes straight to the musicians.
