Glen Street Theatre is stepping into 2026 with a vibrant new season that celebrates creativity, community and the joy of live performance. From beloved classics to bold new works, it is shaping up to be a year filled with stories, music and unforgettable moments shared with neighbours, family and friends.
Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins says Glen Street Theatre remains a vital piece of the region’s cultural fabric, a place where people connect, feel inspired and experience the arts together.
“The 2026 season promises something for everyone, from thought-provoking drama and laugh-out-loud comedy to vibrant music and family shows,” she says. “We’re proud to support a program that reflects the diversity and talent of our arts community and welcomes audiences of all ages.”
The season highlights speak for themselves.
Drama lovers can look forward to Come You Spirits Theatre Company’s daring adaptation of The Tempest, followed by Jonathan Biggins’ sharp political satire The Gospel According to Paul – The Second Coming. Comedy fans can expect the much-loved Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, always a sell-out and a staple of the annual program.
Music takes centre stage throughout the year, featuring Mark Vincent with The Australian Symphony Orchestra, The Australian Army Band in Concert, and a lineup of world-class tribute performances spanning Queen, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles and more.
Special events include an evening with iconic rock photographer Tony Mott, who brings decades of music history to life through his stories and images. Water Mirror adds something truly unique, blending Taiko percussion, dance, acrobatics and cutting-edge projection in a breathtaking fusion of art forms. Young families are well catered for with school productions of SPOT and Where Is the Green Sheep?, along with school holiday favourites Mr Snotbottom and The Ultimate Magic Show with illusionist Jonas Jost.
With even more performances to discover in the ACT ONE lineup, Glen Street Theatre continues to champion accessible, high-quality arts experiences that bring the community together. It is set to be a standout year for the Northern Beaches performing arts scene.
Memberships are now open, offering exclusive benefits and priority booking from 1 to 15 December before tickets go on sale to everyone from 15 December.
