Sounds of Manly

Manly town centre will come alive with free live music, roving entertainment and family-friendly performances when the inaugural Sounds of Manly event arrives on the Halloween weekend, Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026.

Presented by Northern Beaches Council, the two-day program will feature local solo musicians and performers across 5 locations including The Corso, Rialto Square, Market Lane, Sydney Road and the forecourt of Manly Town Hall.

Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said the event would celebrate Manly’s coastal culture and encourage people to experience more of the town centre.

“Sounds of Manly will add to the vibrant atmosphere of one of our most iconic destinations, with live music and entertainment showcasing the creativity, culture and community spirit that make Manly such a special place.

“With performers bringing energy to locations across the town centre, the event is a great opportunity to support local artists, explore our fantastic businesses, cafés and hospitality venues, and enjoy everything Manly has to offer,” said Mayor Heins.

Roving entertainers will bring colour and energy to the precinct on Saturday 31 October, with a hula hoop and juggler duo performing from 10.45am to 12.45pm.

On Sunday 1 November, families can enjoy the Move & Groove Stage Show on the John Speight Stage from 12.30pm to 1pm. Featuring Scratch the Cool Kat, Lulu The Funky Clown and Trixie the Disco Dancing Pixie, the show will put a lively spin on childhood favourites before audiences have the chance to meet the performers.

Sounds of Manly forms part of Council’s ongoing efforts to support local businesses, activate public spaces and create vibrant experiences for residents and visitors. With performances spread across the town centre, the event invites audiences to discover Manly’s unique mix of shopping, dining and coastal lifestyle while enjoying free live entertainment throughout the weekend.
