This summer, Avalon Village explodes with colour and creativity for the Barrenjoey Artwalk - a vibrant celebration of art, community and coastal life on The Beaches.
Now in its second year, the Artwalk transforms local shopfronts into mini galleries, pairing more than 30 Avalon retailers with Australian artists. From painting and sculpture to photography and design, each window tells its own story - and every artwork is for sale, with a portion of proceeds helping fund creative and educational opportunities for students at Barrenjoey High School.
This year’s lineup shines with some serious star power: the iconic Reg Mombassa, celebrated for his surreal Mambo designs; Wendy Sharpe, one of Australia’s most acclaimed contemporary artists known for her expressive figurative works; and local favourite Phil Meatchem, whose striking pieces capture the spirit and soul of the Northern Beaches.
Follow the yellow dots through Avalon, meet the artists, and let the village surprise you - one window at a time. Free, family-friendly, and fabulously local, the Artwalk is where creativity meets community by the sea.
