Rock Goes Green: Sarah McLeod & Dallas Frasca Plug In for The Green Electric Tour
Two of Australia’s fiercest rock icons are turning up the volume and turning down their carbon footprint. Sarah McLeod and Dallas Frasca are joining forces for The Green Electric Tour, a 15-date national run that fuses explosive live energy with an urgent message: rock can lead the charge for change.
Powering Up a Greener Future
Supported by Music Australia, The Harbour Agency, Green Music Australia, and Spank Betty Records, the tour is more than a string of killer gigs; it’s a statement. The duo are working with sustainability experts to reduce and offset their touring impact, from transport and accommodation to stage production and merch.
Even the tickets come with a purpose: a small levy on each sale will fund tangible sustainable touring actions, while part of the proceeds go to Seed Mob, Australia’s first Indigenous youth-led climate justice organisation.
“We wanted to do something that wasn’t just loud but meaningful,” says McLeod. “If rock and roll can’t lead the charge for change, what can?”
Beyond the Music
From Fremantle to the Gold Coast, The Green Electric Tour promises powerhouse performances: reimagined rock classics, fierce originals, and electric new collaborations, all backed by two thunderous drummers. But behind the amps, there’s a deeper rhythm driving it all.
Fans are being invited to become part of the movement: rock up in your best sustainable fashion, carpool, catch public transport, or even ride your bike to the gig. Every step, they say, makes a difference.
“It’s the wild west out there when it comes to sustainability,” says Frasca. “We want to show our fans there are simple ways to make a big difference, and that every action counts.”
Expect recycled merch, meat-free catering, eco-certified hotels, and travel routes chosen with a green mindset, proving that the future of live music can have a big impact without the heavy footprint.
The Power Duo
ARIA winner and South Australian Music Hall of Fame inductee Sarah McLeod, best known as the dynamic front woman of The Superjesus, has long been a champion for positive change within the Australian music industry. As Chair of Australian Women in Music, she’s helping reshape the industry from the inside out.
Joining her is Dallas Frasca, the unapologetically fierce blues-rocker whose 2024 album Force of Nature stormed to #2 on the ARIA Blues Chart and #1 on AMRAP. Fresh off a support slot with ZZ Top, Frasca brings raw power and soul, the perfect counterpart to McLeod’s electrifying stage presence.
Together, they’re a force for both sound and sustainability.
Join the Revolution
The Green Electric Tour kicks off in February and runs through March 2025, hitting intimate venues across the country. Expect sweat, soul, and serious heart, with a side of climate action.
Because in McLeod and Frasca’s world, saving the planet isn’t just a cause. It’s a movement, and it rocks.
