Royal Avalon Clubhouse

The Royal Avalon Clubhouse has been part of Avalon’s story since 1926. Originally a private members’ retreat before opening to the public after World War II, it has long served as a welcoming hub for locals, golfers and visitors.

Nearly a century on, Avalon locals Tom, Andy, Brad and Lyndon have reimagined this historic venue, bringing new life to a much-loved landmark while preserving its heritage and community spirit.

Their vision is clear: to create a relaxed, family-friendly space that feels both familiar and fresh.

The Clubhouse menu features hearty favourites and coastal classics, ideal for long lunches, post-golf gatherings and weekend catch-ups. Each dish is designed with simplicity, warmth and Avalon’s laid-back lifestyle in mind.

To ensure the building’s history remains at its heart, an advisory board of respected locals, including Vicky Jellis, Alex McTaggart and Geoff Searl, guides key decisions. Their involvement ensures the Clubhouse continues to honour its past while embracing the present.

With deep roots in hospitality, design and service, the Royal Avalon team is passionate about creating a venue that celebrates connection.

Through local partnerships, community events and genuine Avalon charm, the Royal Avalon Clubhouse is once again a place for everyone to gather and feel at home.
