Northern Beaches Council | Boondah Sports Field Revamp

Northern Beaches Council has been working with local sporting groups to reconfigure the Boondah sports precinct fields to provide additional capacity and are asking for your feedback to ensure it caters to the needs of the whole community.

The reconfiguration will see the area transformed to provide an extra senior soccer field or multiple junior size fields, 1 additional cricket junior pitch and 6 multipurpose hard courts along with a refurbished amenities block and upgraded pathways.  These additions will ensure other sports like softball and school activities are also still catered for and the fields are available for casual use, and all of this alongside the new Warriewood Community Centre set to be opened in early 2026.

The Boondah Sports Precinct, funded entirely by Development Contributions, represents a significant investment in the future of sport, recreation, and community wellbeing on the Northern Beaches.

Mayor Sue Heins welcomed the start of community engagement, emphasising the importance of local input in shaping the future of the precinct.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone who lives, works, and plays on the Northern Beaches to have their say on how the Boondah Sports Precinct can best serve our growing community.

“It’s wonderful to see Development Contributions being put to such positive use, allowing us to deliver a project that supports our local sports clubs while creating vibrant, accessible spaces for all.

“This is truly a win-win. Our sporting groups will benefit from upgraded facilities, and the whole community will gain a new hub for recreation, events, and connection. I encourage everyone to get involved and share their ideas as we move forward together.

“We want to ensure the Boondah Sports Precinct reflects the needs and aspirations of our community both now and into the future.” Mayor Heins said.
