The space sets the mood for a night of unapologetic enjoyment, with moody lighting, generous pours, and a bit of swagger with edgy design and a sophisticated all-black bathroom. The name “Hedonist” is derived from Hedone, the Greek goddess of pleasure. The word refers to someone who believes that the pursuit of pleasure is the most important aspect of life — a pleasure-seeker. Bold Flavours and Fierce Cocktails
Under the watchful eye of Head Chef Emanuele Pelonero, the menu is all about big, bold flavours and cracking ingredients. Kick your meal off with the Potato Pave & Kangaroo, or the super tender Striploin Tataki with a touch of wasabi mayo. For the main, enjoy the Beef Oxtail Gnocchi — braised oxtail, ossobuco, crispy gnocchi, Parmigiano, and herb oil for a rich, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Or try the deliciously smoky Dry Aged Wollemi Duck Breast, served with smoked cashew nuts, Swiss chard and jus. On the side, the Beetroot Salad with feta, mascarpone, tarragon emulsion and poppy seeds offers a fresh, creamy contrast. Finish with the indulgent Brix Rum Baba to complete your fine dining experience.
The extensive wine list has something for every palate, with the staff always happy to recommend the perfect pairing. More importantly, these guys know their way around a cocktail shaker. The perfectly spiced Hedonist Margarita or the smooth, kicky Espresso Martini are on point.
From 4 to 6pm, Monday and Thursday through Saturday, guests can enjoy Happy Hour with $12 cocktails, $9 house wines and beer, and a tempting snack menu to match. For those looking for a curated dining experience, the Chef’s Selection menu is available from 5:30pm until close, offering a two-course set menu for $65 or a three-course feast for $85.
Thursday nights are all about steak, with a 250g Chef Selection Steak of the Night served alongside a glass of wine and the option to BYO. Live music adds to the vibrant atmosphere, with performances setting the tone on Saturday evenings from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and again on Sundays from 12pm to 3pm.
