Before rescue animals find their forever home, they need foster carers to provide temporary care until they're adopted. For animal lovers who can't commit to a permanent pet, it's the perfect way to help a creature in need and fuel your puppy or kitty-cat fever.
Some animals need time to recover from medical treatment, others need help building confidence, and many simply thrive in a home rather than a shelter.
What Does It Take To Foster?
A big heart is the first step. You'll also need to be 18+, have your own car and licence, live within 70 minutes of the rescue or the Northern Beaches, and have a spare room or safe enclosed space. Foster carers supply bedding, bowls, toys and, most importantly, love.
