Good to know
Dogs are permitted off-leash at Sandy Bay above the Mean High Water Mark (see Council's location map). Please be mindful of nearby residents and keep noise and barking to a minimum. More parking is available at Clontarf Reserve.

Sandy Bay is a pocket of harbour sand at the end of Sandy Bay Road, Clontarf. It is one of the few places on the Beaches where your dog can get sand between its toes on the harbour side.

The off-leash area sits above the mean high water mark, so pick a lower tide for more room. It is a residential street, so keep the barking down.

Parking is tight. Use Clontarf Reserve and walk around. It is a short stroll and a nice warm-up for the dog before the main event.
