Dogs are permitted off-leash in the off-leash area of the reserve 24 hours a day Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays). Dogs are to be on-leash in the off-leash area on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. The off-leash area is to the west of the main access road into the reserve.

McCarrs Creek Reserve is a busy waterfront reserve with a wharf, boat ramp and dinghy storage. Part of it is set aside for dogs, west of the main access road.

Weekdays are the time to come. The off-leash area is open around the clock Monday to Friday, while weekends and public holidays switch to on-leash as families pour in for picnics.

Pack a lead either way and enjoy the quiet creek outlook. Mornings are calm, and the water views make the trip worthwhile even on a grey day.
