A 7.3km bush circuit around Sydney's largest freshwater lake, with swimming, picnics and plenty of birdlife.
Bush, water and a proper workout. The Park Circuit Track loops Manly Dam, Sydney's largest freshwater lake, created by damming Curl Curl Creek in 1892.
The 7.3km track takes about 3 hours and is graded Medium, with some steep sections, many steps and parts shared with mountain bikers. Shorter heritage, wildflower and Aboriginal-themed walks are on offer too.
Pack a picnic and a swimsuit. The reserve is a favourite for swimming, picnics, fishing and water skiing, so it suits active families and anyone after a decent bush walk without leaving the suburbs.
