A large inclusive playspace in Frenchs Forest with flying foxes, water play, accessible family toilets and sheltered BBQs.
The Lionel Watts Playspace opened in December 2019 as an inclusive playground for children of all abilities and their carers. Flying foxes, swinging and climbing elements sit alongside water play, public art and landscaped nature play areas.
The practical stuff is well covered. There's disabled parking next to the main entry, accessible family toilets, and BBQs, picnic settings and shelters close to the play equipment.
It's part of a busy sporting precinct, with playing fields, a basketball court, outdoor exercise equipment and the Lionel Watts skate park nearby. Weekday mornings are the quiet window; Saturday sport brings the crowds.
