Good to know
The Liberty Swing unlocks with an MLAK key. Public toilets are 300 metres north at the North Steyne Surf Life Saving Club. Parking is along the beachfront, in local streets or the Pacific Waves carpark on Central Avenue; check restrictions.

Manly's beachfront playground sits on North Steyne Reserve, a few steps from the sand. It was built for kids of all abilities, with a Liberty Swing for wheelchair users, a pod swing, an accessible carousel and a play structure with slides.

The playground is named after Jean Hay AM, a former Mayor of Manly, and was officially dedicated in November 2024. There's plenty of seating plus a picnic table, so carers can sit back while the kids burn energy.

It's open all year. Pair it with a swim at North Steyne or a walk along the beachfront. Mornings are calmer before the Corso crowds drift north.
