A short rainforest walk in Warriewood to a 6m waterfall, with cabbage tree palms, ferns and lyrebirds.
A pocket of rainforest in the suburbs. The Jim Revitt Walk through Irrawong Reserve winds through swamp mahogany forest, cabbage tree palms and ferns to a 6m waterfall.
From the Garden Street entrance it is about a 20 minute walk, mostly flat with steps in some sections. Birdlife is abundant, and you might spot a lyrebird. The clearing at the falls is a popular picnic spot.
The waterfall is best after rain, though the track can get muddy. It suits kids and most fitness levels, but not prams or wheelchairs. There are no bins, so carry your rubbish out.
