STRYDE4 DAY: Festival of Purpose on the Beaches

Lock it in: Tuesday 19 May. Something new is landing on the Northern Beaches and it’s set to turn our coastline into a full-blown festival of movement, community and good vibes.

Dreamt up by local dad, and Tour De Cure Co-founder,  Geoff Coombes, this isn’t your standard charity event. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure for doing good – and it’s the first of its kind.

Here’s how it works: you walk, you play, you fundraise, and you pick the cause.

We’re talking 30+ charities across six impact areas — from mental health and cancer to families, Indigenous initiatives, disability and the environment. Whatever matters to you, you can back it.

The STRYDE itself? An 8km coastal loop from North Manly to Curl Curl and back. But it’s more than a walk. 

This is where things get fun. 

The track transforms into a series of STRYDE4 pop-up activation zones designed to get you moving, laughing and maybe a little competitive:

• Ice bath challenge 
• Swim a lap for your charity 
• Silent disco sessions
• The hilarious “cookie off your face” challenge
• Cornhole battles with your mates
• Footy, soccer and golf 

It’s part fitness, part festival, part community movement.

And it’s built for everyone.

Grab your crew. Rally your workplace. Get your school involved. Or just show up with a few mates and soak up a seriously good day out on the coast.

Local businesses are already jumping in using it as a chance to swap the office for the outdoors, bring teams together and make an impact while they’re at it.

At the end of the day, that’s what this is all about: the Beaches showing up for what matters.

Every dollar raised goes directly to high-impact projects through participating charities — no fluff, just real impact.
