Standout works from HSC Visual Arts students across 21 secondary schools on Sydney’s Northern Beaches come together in this annual exhibition, showcasing emerging voices and fresh perspectives. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, digital media and more, the works explore big ideas and offer insight into the issues shaping young people’s lives today.
Presented each year since 1995, the exhibition reflects MAG&M’s long-standing commitment to visual arts education in the region. Central to the program is the Theo Batten Youth Art Award, supporting students who continue their studies in the visual or broader arts. The award honours Theo Batten (1918–2003), a respected local artist and journalist, National Art School graduate and 1972 Walkley Award winner, whose legacy continues to inspire the next generation of creatives on the Northern Beaches.
