Manly Art Gallery & Museum opens two exhibitions on the same night.

Michael Muir: The Shape of Colour is a major survey celebrating more than a decade of work by one of the Northern Beaches' most accomplished contemporary painters, working through memory, place and perception in vibrant colour and dream-like landscape.

Girly in Manly brings together Kate Bohunnis, Anne Ferran, Maddison Gibbs and Ebony Russell to explore the power and presence of the feminine across photography, sculpture and installation, and how femininity works as a source of authority, resilience and cultural influence.

Both shows then run to Sunday 29 November.
