Five vintage Land Rover DEFENDERs, five Sydney artists, painted live on the wharf. Karlee Mackie, Stephen Ormandy, Funskull (Elliott Routledge), Daimon Downey and Ozzie Wright each take on a heritage Defender over the opening weekend, working in front of whoever wants to stop and watch.

The finished vehicles then stay on show across the three weekends of the festival as part of the free art trail, in a program developed with Sydney creative studio Arts-Matter.
