HERE'S THE DEAL
Inspiring change starts with the next generation, and The Last Hollow fosters a passion for conservation in even the youngest of readers. Tay Timoney’s captivating illustrations depict the heart-wrenching tale of Marlin and Banksi, two red-tailed black cockatoos who tragically lose their nesting hollow. With time running out before Banksi must lay her egg, the couple fly from friend to friend in search of a new nest. Ending on a positive note, the story draws attention to the very real role humans can have in saving threatened creatures. 100% of proceeds go to Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a place where native animals like Marlin and Banksi can find the support they need – and it’s directed by the author, Ben Dessen, himself!
